Taste of La Frontera is on Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Brownsville Event Center from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Mr. Amigo Association will host the event, which feature regional cuisine from restaurants on the border, wine and spirits, music, and entertainment.

Taste of La Frontera starts at 6 p.m. and pre-sale tickets and can be purchased for $25 at Antonio’s, Bigo’s, the Brownsville Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce, Plains Capital on Morrison Road, Now Realty at 2027 East Price Road, Ste. A, or from any Mr. Amigo board member.

Tickets will be $30 at the door and door opens at 6 p.m.

Among the estimated 35 participating restaurants are Bigo’s, Antonio’s, Shenanigan’s, Rudy’s Bar-B-Q, Cobblehead’s, Vermillion Restaurant, Mr. Taco, Mariscos de la Rosa, plus many more.Check back for updates.

Celebrating their 50th anniversary, the Mr. Amigo Association works to promote relations between the United States and Mexico and highlight the way of life between Brownsville and Matamoros.
